PRA Troops, PRA-Japanese War (1931-1941)

Soldiers of the People's Republic of Asia, depicted here in combat gear that saw widespread use during the war against the invading Japanese Imperial Army in 1931. During the war, the PRA troops were commonly better armed and equipped than their Japanese adversaries, and provided stiff resistance to the Imperial Army's advance into China. At this time, steel helmets were still uncommon and troops much preferred the caps shown above, aswell as traditional bamboo conical hats. Puttees and canvas shoulder bags such as the ones pictured were also popular items.
